Monday Madness – I Hope They Call Me on a Mission

Last week we featured the layered Temple Plaques with the saying, “ I Love to See the Temple”.

Well we are not quite done with the layered plaques yet.  This week for the weekly deal we are featuring the new “ I Hope the Call Me on a Mission”, layered Plaque.

This project is super simple to make.  Here’s a real quick run through have how to put it together:

Monday Madness – Chunky Wood Ampersand Sign

Over the past couple of months I have been pouring over fonts and playing around with different ideas for some CHUNKY WOOD LETTERS.  It took Kim and I awhile to figure out what we wanted to do with this project because we wanted to offer something that was different, stylish, trendy and had tons of personality…all while keeping the price down.

Things are still in their beginning phases, but by fall we hope to have the entire alphabet along with some fun words.  But to get things started we would like to introduce you to this cute Ampersand.  we took this baby to Snap with us and it was a huge hit.

And our USA letters.

Monday Madness at Midnight – America the Beautiful Chalkboard Print

Seriously it is 11:30 at night and I am just barely finding the time to write the Monday Madness…gosh darn even if it kills me I am going to have this post live before it is Tuesday!

This weeks deal is another one of our popular Chalkboard Plaques.  We CAN NOT keep this baby in stock at the store, hopefully our online shoppers will love it just as much.

Introducing the America the Beautiful Chalkboard Plaque

As with any of our Chalkboard Plaques you can buy the entire kit (plaque, print and step-by-step instructions) or just the print…or if you have another project in mind you can also purchase just the plaque.

Oh and here's a fun idea for you.  You can also purchase two prints and make the plaque double sided.   Between the price, multiple prints options and the ability to make it double sided…this makes for a perfect Super Saturday craft idea.

Monday Morning Madness, On Tuesday (:

Have you ever had one of those days, not really the worse day of your life kind of day. . .but just a really frustrating and exhausting day?  Well that was pretty much been my entire mon. of Nov.  Not the worse month of my life but defiantly an exasperating one.  I thought, (or at least really hoped) that Dec. would bring a clarity of mind, a calmness and peace brought on by the joy of the holidays. . .right?  Wow am I crazy!!  Today was another awesomely frustrating day brought on by my own spaciness (spell check is telling me that’s not a word, I’m using it anyway).  Among the many crazy things I didn’t remember to do, I forgot to charge the battery on my camera when I went to the store with  to take pictures of these fun new Christmas projects.  Yep I drove 20 minutes and was so proud of myself for remembering the camera in the first place and than got there and realized the battery was 100% dead.  Classic.  Luckily I have a phone, and really the pictures are not so bad, considering.  Well now that you know I don’t have my head screwed on straight let’s get to the deals. . . and the projects!

In case you didn’t know Kim and I have kids.  Yep real bonafide in the flesh kids.  I have four (see picture below for proof)

Kim has three (I keep telling her if she wants to stay sane she’ll stop there).

Monday Morning Madness, Neighbor Gifts

Ready or not the Holidays are upon us.  One of the things that makes the time of year so memorable are the traditions that we repeat year after year.  I know many of you may not agree with me, but one of my favorite traditions is the giving of neighbor gifts.  Who’s with me? You might wonder why I am such a big fan of this tradition.  A couple of reason really. I have fond memories of baking Christmas banana bread (banana bread with chocolate chips and Marciano cherries) with my Mom and making candies with my Day for our neighbors.  I also love seeing what people come up with.  I love the cheesy sayings tied to the dollar store presents just as much as I love the plates full of goodies.  But most of all I love the idea behind a small token of thoughtfulness and the “hey we are friends even if we only talk twice a month because we have too many kids and our lives are crazy” that the neighbor gift represents.

The tricky part about the neighbor gift though is coming up with a cute, creative and inexpensive idea that people will enjoy.  Well that is where we can help!

Some of you may have seen Nikkala from The Crafting Chicks’s cute idea using the mini frames.  Well our collection of neighbor gift possibilities doesn't end there.  Here are Ten of our favorite inexpensive and easy to make craft projects that are perfect for neighbor gifts.  (wondering which one’s Kim and I have actually used . . .I starred them)

10. Fridge Magnets (sold in sets of three) **

9. 4x6 Eleanor frame with BELIEVE print (the print is reversible with a Valentine print on the back)**

Monday Morning Madness - $3.00 Frame

Sorry for the delay this morning, we have some serious head colds here at the Archuleta house that are causing things around here to happen in slow motion.

I do have some fun stuff for you this morning though.  One of our most popular projects is our mdf shaped frames.

Who loves a good deal?  Seriously. . .who doesn’t?   Well to give all of you little bargain hunters something to look forward to Kim and I have excited to announce a fun little event we are going to start called Monday Madness.  Every Monday at 9:30 a.m. we will  post an AMAZING deal for both customers online and in the store.  When I say amazing i mean AMAZING,  I am talking some of your favorite frames for only $3.00, and Home Accent vinyl for DIRT CHEAP!  Sometimes there will be a limited numbers of these deals available and sometimes they will last all week, so you will want to make sure you check in with us right at 9:00 a.m.  Now this does mean that we will be pushing back our guest post to Tues, so don’t forget to check back tomorrow for this weeks darling idea.
