CAMP CRAFT – Craft Classes for Kids Question and Answers

We are excited to be offering (for the first time ever) Craft Classes for kids at our store in Sandy. 
Crafting at our house is a frequently a family affair.

My kids (all except the baby), know how to work with vinyl, sand, paint and even use Texturizing Cream.
We thought it would be fun this summer to offer classes that would teach these techniques to kids of all ages.

Classes will be taught on every Tues. in June and Aug.  Each class will feature a different project that will help the kids learn a different technique.  But besides that it’s just something fun to do with your kids (if they 5 or under) or a nice way to get rid of them for an hour (if they are 6 years or older) and get some errands ran… or sit in a silent car and read a book for an hour….we won’t judge.

Monday Madness – Chalk Board Plaques

If you keep up with trends and read blogs then you’ve seen Chalkboard prints…they are everywhere.  I have to admit I am kind of infatuated with them.  I love the throw back to antique signs and marketing designs that are usually mixed in with newer fonts and elements.  Plus they are super fun to design. 
We are excited to introduce a new project….a line of chalkboard prints.  The prints can be purchased on their own, or as a kit.  The kits include a plaque of wood to mount the print on, as well as step by step instructions.  When I made mine I added some Texturizing Cream to the top layer.

Crafters were surely ready for spring to be in the air during our April friendship crafting event.

We had a great turnout, with 18 crafters working on a variety of fun projects. What a great group

of individualists!!

We have some fun announcements for our craft classes held at the store. 

First we have a new teacher! We are excited to introduce you to Emily Laws.  Emily has been teaching home parties and enrichment type craft classes (i.e. Super Saturdays) for Poppy Seed for over a year… so you will be in good hands.   You can learn a little more about Emily below, but first I have one more little tid bit of info.

If you haven’t attended one of our craft classes before you are missing out. Are taught ALL over Ut., and in parts of Id., Az., and soon Ca., NM., and TX.  We are always looking for energetic, crafty, organized ladies to teach for Poppy Seed.  It makes for a great part time job that works well around families.
