Preston’s {Baby Boy Nursery} Part I

There’s a lot going on in this nursery so instead of over whelming you with picture overload, I’ve decided for a simpler, three part post.  Here’s some teasers for you.

But for today we will start with Part I, the closet, (with a free download!)
Preston's Closet

The attention is in the details on this one.
The closet doors came off almost four years ago when the room belonged to Ellie.  There just isn’t space in the tiny room for a changing table and a closet, so we combined them and made the space practical with LOTS of baskets.

Blu Baskets

Blue Basket and Tag

I think my husband favorite part of the room are the labels on the basket, they save him from getting in trouble for putting things in the wrong place.

Wicker Baskets

Grand total of baskets: 12.  More than enough for one small baby.  Not so many for a toddler girl with too many dresses.  It was nice when Ellie switched rooms and finally had a closet and a dresser.
I sewed the changing table curtains and the flags myself, which considering how poor my sewing skills are is pretty impressive.

And of course a nursery closet wouldn’t be complete with out a cute picture of the baby!   I used our 5x5 Square Eleanor Frame.

I’m not sure these will work for very many people, but for those who want them I uploaded the basket labels to 4share and added a few extras that say, diapers, toys and baby shoes.

  2. Thanks to you I have the perfect idea for a beautiful nursery now. The fact that I liked the most about this nursery is that you tried something different than the usual color combinations.
