Father's Day Freebie - Office Snack Labels

This year my husband decided to take care of his own Father's Day present a couple of weeks early.  He needed something for his mountain bike, and that was fine with me! Even though he bought his actual gift, I still want to do some things on Sunday to make him feel special and let him know how much I appreciate the kind of dad he is every day of the year.  Since we're in the middle of moving, I had three basic requirements:

1.  Cheap (he already bought his real present)
2.  Easy (like, "the kids need to be able to do most of it while I pack up the kitchen" kind of easy)
3.  Handmade (in a manly sort of way - he doesn't care about baker's twine and cute scrapbook paper)

I came across a cute idea from the always-awesome Cheri of I am Momma, Hear Me Roar.  I loved it, and decided to put my own spin on it to make it work for our family.  It was cheap ($10-15 depending on what candy you pick), easy (the kids loved putting the candy in the bottles and eating a few strays along the way!), and it is the manly kind of handmade that my husband can take with him to work without blushing :).  The most time consuming part was designing the labels, but you are in luck because that part is done for you! {Download free printable at the end of the post}.

I have 3 kiddos, so I used our baby girl twice and the dog once to fill up space on each bottle.  The labels read: Crunchy, Salty, Nutty, Spicey (me of course, ha!), Sweet, and Sour.

I kept it simple on the outside of the box because

A) No matter how much { I } might like it, my husband just would not appreciate the cuteness of scrapbook paper modpodged to the outside of this soda carton and

 B) I'm packing, packing, packing right now and there is not time for such wasted cuteness!

But I will totally be impressed if you add scrapbook paper, and it would probably turn out cuter that way!

Download the labels here - I printed mine out on my computer, along with pictures of my kiddos to glue over the top.   Just for fun I included a version for Grandpa, too:

There are lots of other quick and fun father day ideas and crafts out there in blogland, here area few of my other favorites:

Dad/Grandpa Questionnaire:  The Crafting Chicks - You know the answers are going to be hilarious!

I Love You Card:  A Day In My Life - So simple, and super cute!  My kids LOVE anything that has to do with tracing their hands.

Father's Day Blocks:  Poppy Seed Projects - This one is from last year.  Holly and I both made these with our kids, and they were a big hit with both dads!

 Happy Father's Day!
